Special Purpose Machine (SPM) to automate the feed and assembly of steel rails and rivets. The machine can be adjusted to fit the smallest rail to the largest. The operator loads the rails in the hopper and the machine automatically strips the parts one by one. Parts are transferred to the riveting station where one of the two different rivets are inserted and riveted. The completed assembly is then moved to the exit station where it is ejected.

Custom designed drive unit capable of rotational movement and also able to withstand a 1500 PSI press force will locked in place.  Unique bearing
arrangement selected specifically for this application.

Tooling designed to accomodate two different styles of rivets and also sealed to avoid bearing failure.
